Choir of the Year is the UK’s national competition for amateur choirs. Founded in 1984 and presented biennially, it is the biggest and prestigious event of its kind. It celebrates the UK’s world-class choral tradition through a series of live events and showcases the best choirs of all ages and genres through a series of BBC television and radio broadcasts.
