Sit back and enjoy this very special show featuring Hugh Masekela, Complete, Adam Glasser, the Mzansi Youth Choir and special guests.

18th July 2014

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, GLASGOW

Join Big Big Sing as we gather to celebrate the life of Nelson Mandela in song. We’re bringing our friends Mzansi Youth Choir – widely regarded as one of Africa’s best vocal groups – to Glasgow from Soweto.  They will be joining a host of South African and Scottish musicians to celebrate the life of ‘Madiba’ on what would have been his birthday.

With South African jazz legend Hugh Masekela and Johnnesberg acapella ensemble Complete performing a trio of specially-commissioned pieces, the evening promises to be a joyful tribute to Mandela’s legacy.

You’ll also get to see the Greater Glasgow Police Scotland Pipe band, the award-winning jazz musician Adam Glasser, Scottish vocalist Siobhan Miller and a constellation of Commonwealth stars!

Come along and celebrate the life of a true South African hero.

Presented as part of South Africa Season in the UK and as part of Festival 2014 (in association with ACTSA Scotland).

Take a seat and enjoy the show!
